Rules and Regulations for Centre Affiliation

1. Educational Qualifications for Centre In-Charge :

The centre in-charge must have completed a minimum of 5 years of formal education in their respective musical subject.

OR

They should have at least 10 years of teaching experience in the field of their musical subject.

2. Underwriting Agreement :

If the centre in-charge lacks the required certification in music education, they must sign an underwriting agreement to clear relevant exams within the next 5 years. This condition is not applicable to non-musical centre in-charges.

3. Qualifications for Non-Musical Centre In-Charge :

Non-musical centre in-charges must have a minimum of 10 years of association with the field of music.

Additionally, they must provide a list of at least two teachers teaching in there institute with musical qualifications as prescribed by BSPM, Pune.

4. Recommendation Letters :

BSPM, Pune may request recommendation letters from one or two known personalities if deemed necessary.

5. Maximum Examination Allowance :

The highest level of examinations and subjects a student can appear for, is specified in the Affiliation Letter issued by BSPM, Pune. This depends on the qualifications of the centre in-charge and the qualifications of the teachers listed by the centre.

6. Affiliation Fees and Renewal :
ffiliation for the initial period will be of five years. BSPM reserves the right to continue with/without affiliation fees after 5 years
7. Display Board Requirements :
During the affiliation period, the centre must display a board as per the specifications provided by BSPM, Pune.
8. Preservation of Affiliation Letter :
The Letter of Affiliation must be preserved by the centre and can be shown to students if required.
9. Record Maintenance :
The centre in-charge must maintain records of teachers and students and provide them to BSPM, Pune upon request as and when required.
10. Affiliation Allotment and Cancellation :
BSPM, Pune reserves the right to allot or cancel affiliations at any time. If no student appears for any examination of BSPM, Pune for two consecutive years then the affiliation of the centre will be cancelled automatically. To restart, fees will be applicable as on date.
11. Examination Conduct :

1. Examinations will be conducted according to the syllabus prescribed by BSPM, Pune. The latest syllabus is available at the BSPM, Pune office and on this website.

2. In-person examinations are generally conducted in two sessions – in the months of July and December and online examinations are conducted throughout the year.

3. Examination forms for the July session can be submitted until April and for the December session until September. Forms submitted after the last date will be accepted with a late fee. (Dates can be changed without prior notice. Please contact the office for the exact dates).

4. Reading exam rules before filling the exam form is necessary.

12. Rule Modifications :
BSPM, Pune reserves the right to modify these rules from time to time.

These rules and regulations are subject to change, and it is the responsibility of the affiliated centres to stay updated with any modifications made by BSPM, Pune.
