We welcome students aged 7 and above for our Prarambhik (beginner) courses in all subjects. At this age, students have the foundational maturity to grasp the basics of Indian classical music and dance.

For younger children (ages 4-7), we recommend our Balgeet classes, which introduce them to the fundamentals of singing in a fun and engaging way, helping cultivate an early appreciation for the art.

While it’s beneficial to have your own instrument for regular practice, we provide instruments during class sessions for beginners. As you progress, owning your instrument becomes essential for consistent practice. For online classes it is necessary for you to own your own instrument. You can contact us for the same.

Absolutely not! Music knows no age boundaries. You definitely can start your learning journey as an adult. We have students as old as 80 years of age pursuing their love for music through our classes.
Our academy specializes in Hindustani classical music. If you’re inclined towards this form, we offer a rich curriculum and experienced faculty to guide you. Although we don’t teach Carnatic music, many students appear for our examinations by learning with other Gurus.
While prior knowledge isn’t mandatory, our courses integrate both practical and theoretical aspects, providing a holistic understanding of Indian classical music.

For instrumental courses, having your own instrument is recommended for daily practice.

For dance courses, you will need Ghungaroos which should be bought after your Guru advises you to do so. For all courses you will need to buy study material (books and audios) available at GMV’s office.

Our instructors are seasoned professionals with extensive training and experience in their respective fields, committed to nurturing each student’s musical potential.

We understand that unforeseen circumstances arise. Our academy offers options to attend compensatory classes or provides materials to cover missed content, ensuring continuity in your learning journey.
