Teaching Experience:
- Teaching Vocal and Harmonium at Gandharva Mahavidyalaya for the past 28 years.
- Served as an examiner for music examinations conducted by Bharatiya Sangeet Prasarak Mandal.
Training & Mentorship:
- Harmonium Training: Studied under Smt. Ranjana Godse (up to Visharad level), followed by advanced guidance from Pt. Pramod Marathe.
- Vocal Training: Learned from Smt. Sangita Mate and Shri Manohar Dabke (up to Visharad Pratham level), followed by two years of training under Anuradha Kuber.
- Kathak Training: Studied under Dr. Madhuri Apte and Vibhavari Parachure.
International Teaching & Contributions:
- Taught Indian classical music to Korean students for two years.
- Provided basic training in Indian classical music to a French organ player, who stayed at Gandharva Mahavidyalaya for 21 days to learn under her guidance.
Administrative & Academic Contributions:
- Since 1995, actively involved in administrative work at Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Pune.
- Played a key role in developing curriculum-based books and overseeing their recordings.
Social Initiatives & Outreach Programs:
- From 2005-2011, taught Vocal and Harmonium to families of soldiers and officers at Ghorpadi, as part of the joint initiative between the Army Wives Welfare Association and Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Pune.
- For the past 2.5 years, has been voluntarily teaching Vocal and Harmonium to girls at Dnyan Prabodhini’s hostel in Velhe.
- Helped 18 students from rural areas pass their first-level music exam with excellent scores.
Recent Activities & Student Achievements:
- Participated in the Nrityachakra event.
- One of her students now provides accompaniment for performances in Seattle.
- Another student has started their own music class.
- One student has become a faculty member at Gandharva Mahavidyalaya.
- Encouraged her son Praneet to pursue music exams, who has now established Gandharva Mahavidyalaya North America in the U.S.
- Received Swanandi Tapasya Puraskar in 2024 for her contribution in propagation of classical music through Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Pune.
