Gandharva Mahavidyalaya established by Pandit Vinayakrao Patwardhan is dedicated to the spread music educations to the masses. The institution organises and conducts online courses on Indian classical vocal music also known as Hindustani music apart from Instrumental music like Harmonium and Tabla. As music and dance are two inevitable part of Indian music the institute also conducts courses in dance, dance forms like Kathak and Bharatnatyam are taught in the institute.  

All the courses are conducted with perfect planning and structure. Gandharva Mahavidyalaya is governed by Bharatiya Sangeet Prasarak Mandal. For all the courses Gandharva Mahavidyalaya exams are conducted by the ‘Bharatiya Sangeet Prasarak Mandal’.

Gandharva Mahavidyalaya has adapted to advanced technologies to enable easier and faster way of conducting exams. The Gandharva Mahavidyalaya exams are generally conducted during the months of July and December. More than 10,000 students have successfully completed the exam. Gandharva Mahavidyalaya exams are conducted in more than 25 centres across Maharashtra and Abroad. Today, online exams are promoted by GMV to ensure faster completion of exam process and result announcement.
