Bharatnatyam Praveshika Purna

Bharatnatyam is one of the ancient and a popular classical dance forms in India, has a divine origin and is specifically known for its purity and chastity. As per the legend this dance form was depicted by Brahma on the request of Devas to create a Veda that can be understood by common man. It is believed that this fifth Veda created by Brahma was propagated through Bharat Muni, who wrote the bible of classical dances known as ‘Natyashastra’.

As per Natyashastra, this dance form combines the three Natya, Nirtta and Nritya. The dance form includes graceful and tender movements of the body in an artistic and elegant way.
